I bought the “New Bocca” in cognac calf, size 8.5 W and I thought they were very tight compared to the original Bocca in the same size. The original Bocca wide is barely “wide” enough for my foot as it is, but I’ve been wearing these for years so thought I’d give these new ones a try. I like the heel – boxy and slightly taller – but the seam is placed on top of the front of the foot instead of along the side on this new version which I didn’t like. That also may have contributed to the tighter feeling. If they could keep the seam the same as the original with a boxy, slightly taller heel and make them wider, I think these would have been great. These aren’t made that way, though, so back they went.

These are cute for work. I wear a wide and the toe box was just a little tight and the heel slipped.

Franco Sarto…..NO NO NO. Do not change the style of an iconic shoe. This shoe was known for its wide toe box and coverage. Now, it is narrow at the toe box and the lip does not go as high on the top of the foot. SO, when you walk, the top bends at a weird spot. If this is the new Bocca, with no old bocca being produced, I will have to move on.

I love these shoes – I have wider feet that don’t do well in pointy shoes.. the material is heavy duty. They are very practical shoes !!

I originally ordered the old version and did not like the boxy toe look at all. I sent them back and ordered the “new” version. I really like the new version.

OMG I am in LOVE w/ these shoes on so many levels. First I bought an almost EXACT pair of this show 20 years ago. I found a photo of me wearing them from 2003 so I order these. I had ALSO ordered Doc Marten’s menswear leopard print w/ black leather that had a silver bar across the top and was 100% CONVINCED that I wanted this new style. I had these in the box to return ONLY b/c I owned something so similar. Well the Doc Martens were HORRIBLY uncomfortable and made my feet look enormous b/c it had a thick rubber soul that stuck out around the perimeter of the Doc Marten shoe. I spent another $15 on insoles b/c they were too loose as well. I wore them in my house for about a week while these sat in the box waiting to back to Zappos. I finally re-visited this shoe and when I put it on it was a DREAM!! The inside has trim around the insole, the leather is SOFT And the faux leopard cowhide is smooth with a little sheen. And that METAL TRIM piece around the heels is AMAZING. I have NEVER written a review about a pair of shows let alone something that sounds like I’m ready to marry it LOL! I am SO HAPPY I am keeping these. Sometimes you just need to experience something different to realized how much you appreciate something. These deserve 10 stars!!!

These are beautiful shoes, but I could not even get them on my feet. I am usually a 6 1/2 wide, but these were both way too short in length and very narrow. I could tell from just looking at them that they were NOT a “wide.” In addition, they feel VERY stiff and I suspect that even if I were to be able to get them on my feet, they would require considerable breaking in – which does not fly with me. I tried the right shoe on, discovered the above and put them back in the box to return.

Franco Sarto’s New Bocca in deep blue crocko are beautiful shoes. They fit comfortably with a classy style. Love the gold metallic on the heels.

These shoes are so uncomfortable. They’re painfully stiff. I thought they might soften with wear but I’ve worn them 5 or 6 times and they haven’t improved at all.

I have a small, narrow to medium foot depending on the brand. This shoe was a perfect fit for me and very comfortable. I also like the classic look and it seems that the shoe will tolerate wear well.

These are wonderful shoes; classy and smart looking. Initially the heel slipped on my right foot but a bit heavier sock made the difference while they broke in. Once broken in and flexed a bit the slipping stopped. Nice nice shoes! I am very pleased.

They are adorable and exactly what I was looking for however, my arch is quite high. Being that the vamp of the shoe is high as well and there is no ‘stretch/elastic’ for give at the vamp, I was not able to even try them on as my foot could not get past the vamp to try them on. Too bad…they are cute!

Loved how these loafers looked. The toe fit well and felt great, but they were very sloppy through my arch and heel and slipped too much to wear. A heavy sock was not going to fix the situation. I returned them.
