Absolutely love the embellished toe strap!!! Made the sandal go with both neutral raffia (hot this season) plus clothing with the luggage browns of the season because of the colors of the seashell and stone embellishment. Unfortunately, the ankle strap is a thick Velcro strap that is very unflexible, as is the entire sole of the shoe. Walking had to be done without bending the foot. Additionally, the heel space, as defined by the Velcro strap, is very wide, while the length of the shoe was rather short. I got a 7.5 and I am usually a 7.5, sometimes a 7, and my toes were slightly hanging over the tip. I was thrilled when I opened the box because the color scheme matched so much of what I needed it to match, and the style was totally my bohemian glam ideal. However, the fit and comfort of this sandal left much to be desired. Franco Sarto is not a brand I buy often, but when I have, I don’t remember any particular problems. But the ankle strap should have had a leather buckle, not one of cheap Velcro that didn’t even wrap backwards around the ankle, but just kept going clockwise the way it started. The thickness of this strap made it even more inflexible, and the sole of the shoe was equally inflexible. Unfortunately, even a larger size won’t help this wide heeled, short mess of a design Kudos to the aesthetic designers. and a big Fail to the functional shoemakers. So sad!!

Cute shoes! I wish that I could have kept them but the buckle and strap cut into my ankle.
